The original photograph that inspired this painting was taken by me at the Porsche Centre in Markham, Toronto in May 2025. If you look close enough, like several of my other paintings, you can make out my silhouette in the bumper.
This specific Porsche 964 Cabriolet built in Toronto, Canada, originally began its life as a Targa and following a tree incident, it was converted into a Cabriolet rather than being written-off.
The car features a unique history, a distinctive look with its triple-stacked wing wide body and close ties to Japanese street style hand-crafted by Akira Nakai san. Susuwatari means "wandering soot" and is a direct nod to the fictional fuzzy black soot sprites found in studio Ghibli films like My Neighbour Totoro and Spirited Away.
We take great care to package and deliver artworks securely, so you can enjoy your investment from the moment it arrives. Shipping costs will be sourced and quoted according to your location.
