About My Story

Quality, not quantity

Suedio is a London UK based artist who has a ponchon for painting a selection of subjects or objects, with a particular focus on reflections, and a love of chrome especially on classic cars.

2024 has opened a new chapter in her life when she can now thrive, focussing on developing herself and her artistry...

In the county of Essex UK, growing up surrounded by the unique blend of rural tranquillity and urban vibrancy, she always felt a whisper of creativity tugging at her soul. However, it wasn't until recent years she decided to answer that call and dip her brush back into the world of art.

She received top grades at A-Level Art at college but life took her on diverse paths—career, family, and responsibilities. Yet, the desire to make or paint never truly left her. It was a serendipitous moment that reignited her artistic flame; her partner inspired her to pick up the paintbrush again so she has been searching for that 'thing' that floats her boat.

The Palette of Inspiration: Canada, with its diverse landscapes, became her muse. From First Nations Pow Wows; North American Classic Car Shows; the rolling green fields to the bustling streets of Toronto, every corner holds a story waiting to be freeze framed on canvas. Nature, architecture, and the everyday lives of people in both London & Canada provided an ever-expanding palette of inspiration for artistic expressions.

As the years unfold, her artistic style evolves. Experimenting with various mediums, from acrylics to oils, and embracing different techniques allowed her to find a unique voice. Canada, and the UK, with their blend of tradition and modernity, plays a pivotal role in shaping her narrative.

As she continues this artistic journey, she aspires to leave memories on canvas—a testament to the beauty and inspiration found in the odd and ordinary. Through art, she hopes to connect with others, sparking reactions and inspire them to embrace their own creative journeys.

"My work is an exploration of still life, using subjects that allow me to satisfy my obsession with reflections. The experience is driven more by intuition and emotion than by intellectual analysis; right now, I'm generally not too concerned with creating a great deal of meaning beyond the aesthetic. Imagery is frequently drawn from various sources such as places, hobbies, and objects that elicit a felling of awe, leading to a sense of nostalgia in the end.

My autobiography, much like my art, is an ongoing narrative. As I paint memories from my life, I look forward to the stories yet to unfold, the reflections and colours waiting to be discovered, and the endless possibilities that the journey of an artist holds."
