ENQUIRE

I first encountered this Harley-Davidson at Roar by the Shore in Port Perry, where it immediately drew me in. Its deep metallic blue paint and gleaming chrome transformed the motorcycle into a canvas of reflections, catching the light and surrounding colours in constantly changing ways. As an artist fascinated by reflections and polished surfaces, I knew it was a subject I wanted to paint.

As I spoke with its owner, I discovered there was a much deeper story behind the bike. He told me that this wasn’t simply his motorcycle—it had originally been purchased by his father and had remained in the family ever since. The personalised registration plate, FAMCK, carries that connection, serving as a lasting reminder of its original owner and the memories created over decades of ownership.

“FAMCK, Still Ready to Ride” is more than a portrait of a motorcycle. It celebrates craftsmanship, family history and the enduring bond between people and the objects they cherish. Every reflection in the chrome and every highlight in the paintwork represents not only the beauty of the machine but also the stories it continues to carry. Though rich in history, this Harley isn’t a relic—it remains exactly what it was built to be: still ready to ride.
