Bo Barkette Jnr. captures a playful intersection of sport (a nod to Bo Bichette; an elite baseball infielder with high batting average & power) and reflection. Inspired by the iconic balloon-dog form, the piece transforms familiar Blue Jays imagery into a polished, mirror-like surface that reflects both what is seen and what lies beyond. Light dances across the metallic curves, creating shifting perspectives that change with the viewer’s position. The work balances humour and nostalgia, inviting a sense of joy while quietly exploring identity and the layered stories embedded within reflection.
